Sponsorship

When we set up back in 1990 the aim of the company was to produce an exceptional product which would sell entirely on its own merit. 20 years later the ethos is unchanged and we remain a manufacturing rather than a marketing company; the bats are a real product, not merchandise.
Fortunately Salix bats are used by many talented players, with or without our knowledge and/or endorsement and we continue to attract interest and acclaim from both the industry and the press. But crucially the bats remain in demand from the schoolboy cricketer who bats brilliantly with his Pod harrow, or the league player who consistently scores during his weekend matches with his new Præstantia… the bats don't just look the part, they really do play and inspire players using them.

Professional players will always have access to top bats, regardless of which brand endorses them or what rumours abound, and the heritage brands will not equip their players with anything less than the best available. As we do not have to pay international players to use Salix, we try to ensure that every bat is exceptional, and that professional quality is the bench mark for all Salix bats, whether made as a bespoke fitting, or bought from a specialist stockist.

S3 Sponsorship SchemeSalix Sponsorship Scheme (S3)
As full sponsorships with Salix are therefore rare, we have operated a successful sponsorship scheme for some years, offering discounts to juniors playing at the highest levels. This gives talented players access to very special bats and equipment during these important years. A bespoke Salix bat during the first formative seasons will undoubtedly reinforce a player's enjoyment of the game and show what skill and timing can do with the right bat in his or her hands. Every season we receive hundreds of letters and updates from players attesting to first centuries or record averages with a very special new Salix – these are not miracle bats, just the best that any player can use.

2011 S3 scheme
We revise our scheme every January/February in advance of the new season, so the majority of places for 2011 have now been allocated. For new enquires, please email and we will send an application form for as long as places still remain available; we do try to assess everyone on their individual merits.
If you are an existing player or have previously applied for 2011 but for some reason have not received an application form then please email so that we can send you a form and get your application processed as quickly as possible.

Please note that we are only able to offer support to individual players in the UK – we are unable to sponsor teams or overseas residents.
